Yes, and it is the usual pick here. The subfloor has to be dry, solid and flat first, which is where the work actually is. Soft panels get cut out and replaced before anything goes down. Skipping that step shows up as a bounce underfoot within a year.

The floor is soft by the bathroom. Can that be fixed with the new floor?
