How does a free estimate actually work?
You call, or you send the short form. David Aceves comes out and measures the work himself. He asks what you want and what you can spend.

The visit and the estimate cost nothing, and they commit you to nothing. You can hold the price, compare it and call back next month. We do all of it in English or in Spanish, with one person.

How soon do you answer, and how far do you drive?
We answer during working hours and set the visit on that call. The written estimate follows within 48 hours of the walkthrough. We do not promise a callback time we cannot hold every day.
Rio Grande City is the base, so Starr County is 30 minutes or less. McAllen is about 50 minutes. South Padre Island is about 135 minutes each way.
Distance changes the calendar more than it changes the work. A job two hours out gets full days on site, not short visits.
Who pulls the permits for my job?
We do. Permit rules change from city to city in the Valley, so we check yours before we quote.
Roofs, additions, electrical and plumbing are the usual triggers. Homes in Cameron and Willacy counties may also need a windstorm inspection to stay insurable. Your estimate says which permits the job carries.
You never have to stand in line at city hall on our behalf.
Who is on my property while the work happens?
David runs the job from the first walkthrough to the final inspection. One person answers for the work, start to finish. You are never handed off to a call center.

The crew cleans up daily and hauls off its own debris. Your driveway does not turn into a dump site over the weekend.
How do payments work on a remodeling job?
Payments follow the stages of the work. A deposit covers the material at the start. The rest is tied to milestones written into your contract.
We never ask for the full amount before the job begins. If a contractor does ask for it, treat that as your signal to stop.
We do not lend money ourselves. If a financing partner is available at the time we quote, we say so and hand you their terms.
What warranty do I get, and is a Texas contractor licensed?
Two separate warranties cover your job. The manufacturer covers the material it made. We cover the workmanship in writing.
Terms run by trade, and they live in your contract. You get the document on paper at the final walk. It is not mailed to you weeks later.
Texas does not issue a state license for general contractors or for roofers. A company claiming a state roofing license here is describing something that does not exist. Electricians and plumbers are licensed by the state, and we hire licensed ones.

Is Aceves a licensed contractor in Texas?
Texas issues no state license for general contractors or for roofers, so no remodeling company in the Valley holds one. What we can show you is a written scope, a written workmanship warranty and documented work. Electrical and plumbing do require state licenses, and those trades go to licensed tradesmen.
How soon will I hear back after I send the form?

Do I pay for the whole job before you start?
No. A deposit covers material, and the rest is tied to stages written into your contract. The last payment comes after the final walk, once the punch list is closed. Any contractor asking for everything up front is a reason to stop and get another bid.
Does a licensed electrician or plumber work on my job?
Yes, whenever the job needs those trades. Texas licenses both at the state level, so that work goes to a licensed tradesman and the number goes on your paperwork. Framing, roofing, fencing, concrete and finish work are ours.
What happens if something goes wrong after the job is done?
You call David at the same number you called the first time. The workmanship warranty is in writing, and the terms by trade are in your contract. If the problem is the material itself, the claim goes to the manufacturer and we file it with you.
