We build wood, iron, chain link and ranch fence in Roma, about fifteen minutes from our Rio Grande City base. Starr County ground runs to caliche, so posts get augered and set in concrete. Downtown lots are tight, and the ranch runs outside town are long.

Do you build ranch and pasture fence outside Roma?

Yes. Pipe and wire, braced corners and gates wide enough for a trailer. Runs out there get measured with a wheel, not scaled off a map. The footage goes on the estimate so you can check it yourself.

The plat for my downtown Roma lot is old and unclear. Can you still set a line?

Not off the old plat alone. On a lot that narrow a few inches decides whose fence it is, so we want corners you can point to, or a survey. Once the corners are fixed, every post goes inside them and the estimate says so.

What fence suits an older home near the historic district?

Ornamental iron in the front, most of the time. On those streets the house itself is the thing worth looking at, and an open picket line does not hide it. Cedar goes in the back, where a solid face is the whole point.
